What is Xcell Mobile?

Diallog’s Xcell Mobile Service is a simple enhancement to your existing cell phone. No matter what kind of phone you own or who your provider is, Xcell Mobile for business will save you money on your cellular use. 

How much can I save?

Savings depend on your typical mobile phone usage. All of our customers save money, but some our customers have saved hundreds of dollars every single month.  Xcell Mobile users typically save between 40%-85% off their cellular phone bill each month.

Will I have to change my Cellular Provider or Phone Plan?

You will not have to change your cellular provider.  To get the most out of the Xcell Mobile, you should contact your cellular provider and ask them for the most affordable plan that includes free, unlimited incoming minutes – you should also ask for minimal outgoing minutes because you won’t need them with Xcell Mobile.  A “Favourites” Plan such as My5, MyFaves, My10, etc., will allow you to simply program the Xcell access number into one of your “Favourites”, making Xcell easier and quicker to use.  However, you should ensure your “Favourites” plan has free incoming minutes.  If you have any questions or need more information on what cellular plan to request from your phone provider, please give us a call.

Will I still receive a phone bill from my cellular provider?



You’ll continue to receive a bill from your regular cell phone provider, but it will be for basic plan fees only with absolutely no usage charges.  In other words, your cell phone expenses will be much, much lower!

Is it legal?


Xcell Mobile is 100% legal. Xcell Mobile Call-back only takes advantage of your cellular phone provider's existing pricing structure that does not charge its customers for incomplete/busy or incoming calls.  With Xcell Mobile Dial-thru you are simply benefiting from the pricing features already inherent in your cellular service contract to minimize your airtime charges.

Will dialing take more time with Xcell Mobile?


Yes.  The Xcell Mobile feature will add a few more seconds to your dialing.  The Xcell Call-back feature is slightly slower than the Dial-thru feature as you have to wait for the Xcell system to call you back.  The easiest and fastest way to use Xcell is to use the Xcell Mobile Xpress Dialing Software for that you can download straight to your phone. 

I live outside the 416 area code, will I be charged for calling the Access number?



No. None of the calls you make to the access number are completed calls, therefore you will never be charged on your cellular bill for them. When the Xcell system calls you back, your current cell phone provider will rate it as incoming minutes, all while you’re dialing an outgoing call.

How does Xcell Mobile Call-back know to call me back?



Once you’ve signed-up, the Xcell system will recognize your cellular phone number and call you back with the Xcell access number in the call display (make sure to turn off the privacy setting on your phone so the Xcell system can recognize your number). You will hear a recorded voice instructing you to dial your desired number.

What number appears on the display of people I’m calling?


Your same cell phone number will still appear on the display of the people you call.  However, it is possible to program Xcell so your number does not appear in the display of the people you call.

Where can Xcell be used from?



Xcell Mobile can be used from anywhere across Canada and the United States. Note that any roaming charges that are applicable to your cellular phone plan will be billed by your provider when you are outside your local coverage area.

What happens if I sign up to Unlimited Local Calling, but make a Long Distance call using Xcell Mobile?



Your call will be charged on a per-minute basis with Diallog’s low long distance rates (click here to see rates). 

What happens if I sign-up to Unlimited Calling in North America, but make an overseas call using Xcell Mobile?



Your overseas call will be charged on a per-minute basis with Diallog’s low long rates (click here to see rates).
